Who is in your life?
I resigned from writing anymore articles or pieces again. Until yesterday. I met a Ghanaian American author, with roots in Kwahu who unbeknownst to me is an avid reader of my articles. He asked why I no longer post. My answer was I no longer write. I explained to him my current projects including Positive Male Mentors Everywhere. As I walked away, I realized I was being selfish. Why was I denying you my readers and fans the opportunity to be your silent voices?
Hence my resolve to restart the engine. It will sputter and fail but it will catch on.
The people in our lives encourage us to strive to be the best. People come out from the blue and one way or the other push us, motivate us to reach greater heights. We are almost always heaping praises on this first set of people.
Then there are these people who beat us down. They want us to tow their line or do only what they deem to be best for us. These are the people we tend to shun or pray about or simply refuse to acknowledge their existence. These are best of people. They tell us what we don’t want to hear. They push us to reach our inner heights.
I am back. I will write. I will cry and laugh while writing. I will allow for vulnerability while writing. Today, I ask you “Who is in your life?”
